Class 4 full Licence course Blended

By being the holder of a full Class 4 licence, you will be able to drive any heavy rigid vehicle that is capable of carrying loads and weighing over 18,000 kgs. You have the choice of online learning, or in class, or a blend of training with in class assessments and practical training and assessment. Participants will complete unit standards 17576 and 24089 (if required) which will also be registered onto the NZQA framework.

Description

This full course covers help with obtaining your full class 4 licence, there are options to skip 24089 if you can provide an NZTA certificate showing it within the previous 12 months.

There is also an option to provide a suitable vehicle and load for the practical which of course reduces the cost.

It is a mix of online learning, some in class testing and practical training and assessment.

Prerequisites

You must have held your class 2 full licence for at least 3 months (over 21).

You will also need to get a medical (DL19 form from your doctor required by VTNZ) before applying for your learners licence if you have not provided one for driver licencing in the last 5 years

By being the holder of a full Class 5 licence, you will be able to drive any combination vehicle that has a total combined weight over 25,000kg. The Class 5 training course includes two days theory training in class and up to four hours on road training and assessment. Participants will complete unit standards 17577 and 24089 which will also be registered onto the NZQA framework. If unit standard 24089 has already been completed, then the theory training component can be reduced to one day.
